So,

I haven't really updated all summer and that's my bad. I believe where I left off was the end of my Spring courses which is super exciting and I got to enjoy the remaining two months of summer in complete freedom - for the most part.

I spent most of the summer just hanging out with my "bubble" which is what the government encouraged us to do. Our bubbles are groups of people who see primarily just each other and you don't need to socially distance or wear masks around them as it is presumed that you only see each other. My bubble consisted of my immediate family + a few relatives that came to visit over the course of the year, my best friend Stuve and Carson as well as a few of our extended friends. I went camping twice, both times with Stuve however the first was with her family friends and the second was with Carson and a few of our friends.

Other than that I went to Jasper with my family and out of Canmore and Banff a few times. We did a lot of hikes around home and really explored our own backyard. I hung out a lot with Carson and his family in the city and we did a lot of stuff around the lake and the river since it was one of the hottest summers we've had. Nearing the end, we started to go out for dinners in town quite frequently and it was nice to be back downtown and seeing people.

On August 1st, masks became mandatory in all indoor places in Calgary which hasn't been overly bad. Everyones been getting used to it and it's becoming more of a habit now more than anything.

Today is my first day of online school. I'm sitting now at my desk waiting for my zoom call to start. It's going to be weird having all classes and exams online but we're trying to make the most of it. Carson and I are in a lot of the same classes so we'll work together for the most of it. I'm enjoying being at home with my parents where I have a car and food and my dogs. But I bet it'll get old really fast. My sister decided she didn't want to do full time school so we had to give up the apartment. She might move to Invermere, I don't really know, but for right now I just have to focus on myself.

I miss Stuve lots but we're still trying to go to The Driver Era concert in London in November for our anniversary so hopefully that works out.

My class is about to start. I'll post another update when I can.

Candied Mushroom Quesadilla

This recipe is one of my favourite lunch meals and I make it, conservatively, four times a week. Step 1: Chop the mushrooms vertically...
